I'm normally a DFI fanboi but the Biostar I45 is better than the blood iron IMO. Unfair comparison though.

Why is it unfair for they are around the same price

DFI: 3
BIOSTAR: 2

The Biostar is better because of the easy to understand BIOS, and the chipset/mosfet cooling. I am pretty sure it is one of the fastest P45s around.

The Bloodiron P45 does not live up to expectations (since the P35 was so good.)
Cool so its the BIOSTAR board then

The colur scheme of the DFI Blood Iron is awesome

I really wanted the P45 Bloodiron, but it pretty much flopped. Can't even find too many in the states.

Biostar is the one I would get. DFI's is fine unless you have a RMA issue because their customer service is awful. I would look at the UD3* boards myself since they are cheaper and I know how well they overclock with duals and quads.
have said you have a ud3 board why get another board
NO NO NO NO!!! Dfi P45 T2RS Plus i have it and its amazing it overclocks my processor so high yet so low volts.
DFI's boards are just amazing with all the bios features, and board features.

I have had a total of 3 DFI's and will continue to buy from them.
i've got the Biostar and its great...
no problems and so easy to use..
have fun

Yes you have made an excellent choice. Just remember to download the latest sound/chipset drivers and ignore the outdated crap they put on the CD (True for any motherboard but even more so for the UD3P).

You couldn't have chosen a better P45 motherboard. It is seriously the best P45 you can get... PERIOD.
