Building my first acrylic tube rig. When I pressure test the loops I'm having fittings pop out the tube at 7 psi. Is this to much pressure? The fittings are tight any one else run into this problem?

Exactly which model fittings are you using? They make a hardline compression "Enhanced" multi-link fitting and then a dual o-ring multi-link fitting that looks similar, They also make a single o-ring multi-link for SLI card setups where he tube is physically trapped and can't pop out. Did you use any type of lube on the fittings? What brand tubing are you using? Have you checked the OD to make sure it's the same as the fittings you purchased?

I've seen people have trouble when using Monsoons imperial sized tubing with metric fittings, but I don't think these would even get to 7 psi.

Just need some more info

Bitspower fittings popping

I'm using Bitspower crystal link tube 16mm OD. The fittings are Bitspower G1/4" enhanced multilink fitting for 16mm ridged tubing. Yes I did use a little lube on these fittings and they have two O-Rings. Also what would the proper tightness of the fittings right now I have them pretty tight any tighter I'm going to need to use tools. What would the proper air psi test, I was told 10 psi. Cant get past 7.

are you fitting an o ring that sits between the screw on part and the fitting body that actually clamps the tube? which has been in all the hardline fittings ive used before

The fittings are designed to be hand tight from what I've seen, if you put o-ring lube on both o-rings then I would try cleaning it off of the tube and the second o-ring (the one that fits in the screw on collar), that o-ring is only there for retention of the tube and doesn't seal anything. 10 PSI is a good number to test at IMO, a DDC pump has the capability to put around 7.4 PSI on the system and around 5.5 PSI for a D5 (I doubt they would ever get that high though).

Yes all the O-rings are in place. I'm going to tear it down and scrub the O-rings and remove any lube on them I'm hoping this is the problem. It's just when cutting and fitting approximately 48' of tubing I didn't want to damage the O-rings with constantly inserting and removing the tubes hence the lube. Took me a while to figure out the cutting and bending of the acrylic tubing. Any recommendation on the PSI test?
