The only reason for this is bad coding. Treyarch messed up perf in this game by piling too much **** onto an old DX9 engine.

I have no trouble running it in Win 7 64 bit home premium. I don't really play it anymore but I never had any trouble.

You're on a "quad" though, right? Trust me, game runs horrible on dual cores.
