Attendees at PAX East got a chance to see just what goes down with the Xbox Live Enforcement Team with a video demonstration of the team's Vulcan Toolset.

Searched, didn't see it posted, wasn't sure if I should put PAX or BNG as the Source tag, so I did BNG, correct me if I'm wrong. Considered putting it in the software section, but I think it's more suited to this one.

Interesting stuff!

Holy... Good video.
Interesting. I wonder what grounds they investigate on though. That's a pretty big bit of info they left out.

It appears other users file the complaints themselves.

I'm aware of that. But I'm pretty sure they wouldn't ban someone without proving they are wrong first.

Did you watch the entirety of the video... He clearly describes how they make sure they only ban/warn people that are actually doing something wrong.

Xbox Moderation has to be one of the most slapdash, horribly run, and like.... tacked-on system I've ever seen in any business fashion.
It's like MS grabbed a bunch of random people, threw them in a room with some software, and said moderate away.
Hell, MS and Xbox Live representatives don't even understand or acknowledge what these guys do. Call up Xbox Live Support and they'll tell you straight forward,"We don't know what they do to accounts or how they reach said decision." Then, if you still want to know, you have to go into their horribly done forum community, ask a question about your account, and get the most generic automated responses EVER.

Maybe not permanently, but a few friends of mine decided to file complaints against another friend in the group for giggles. They did it continuously for about 15 minutes straight. He got banned for a week off of Live.

Say what you want, but I'm 80% avoided and constantly get reported, but have never been wrongly banned for any amount of time.
"hey guys! look how fast we can ban people from xbox live! isnt this a great feature??" -_-
