Gigabyte warranties are mostly if not all serial based. Warranty is not a problem if the motherboard is genuine.

My main concern was that the manufacturers warranty may have expired. I assumed the board had the standard one year warranty on it. After double checking, I see it has a three year manufacturer warranty. I agree-- warranty is not a problem.
