Could always use a backup phone and make it a slave BOINC cruncher until needed lol. Tried that with my Casio commando since it wont die but I cant find the NativeBOINC app for it. Hope this works so I can put it to good use.

i have it setup so it only runs when the phone is plugged in and the battery level is above 90%, so when i talk to you boinc isnt running. lol

Someone should take an old Pentium 4, run it and see if the work units complete faster on that versus the Galaxy S4 CPU units. (i know there's architectural and OS differences, but still...)

Also there is massively more POWER required to run a pent-4... I have one, with HT... it's slow as dead dino-doodoo...

ARM work units are labeled are under the "cpu" category, but i don't want to waste energy on cpu processing on my computer. is there a way to disable cpu units on my computer and still get arm units sent to me?

Well, you can set a different location for your computer vs. PDA... use default for PDA and set WORK to not allow CPU units in the project preferences... then set your home computer (or whatever) location to WORK in the view computers detail.

Might be somewhat project dependent too..
