How is everyone doing? Things have certainly calmed down from the old days when we were having BGBs every most and frequently had 120-150 members attending/competing for prizes. The world has certainly changed for sure between hardware prices, presidents, pandemics, etc. Hope everyone is doing well, and ready to enjoy this holiday season.
So whats going on guys? I hope you all are well, and healthy as this year comes to a end. I pray that the new year will bring lots of great things for you all. Maybe one day we can put a defibrillator on this team and get it running like it used to be. If anyone needs anything I am here. Take care. 🙏

i'm sorry about your brother, i hope he is receiving treatment and fully recovers. I lost my dad 3 years ago after his diagnosis with cancer. Lol, i am hoping to have a new car and a new house myself in a few years. I hope we all get blessed with what we want, if not then what we need.Brothers cancer came back, couple folks I know got Covid-19, I'm retired now, nobody is sending me money for good behavior....
Since you asked, I need a boat and $20K to expand the lot I live on...

I'm heating my apartment for the winter... just running some world community grid, prime grid, and [email protected]
I still have 4 dual xeon crunching rigs laying around but they produce way too much heat for the small space they occupy so mostly they remain off. If I can get around to selling the parts, if they are worth anything, I could probably build a couple 16 core ryzen crunching rigs to run without burning down the place.

Still here, still crunching. I don't get around to checking the forum very often unfortunately. Coworker of mine that I had worked with for 13 years passed away suddenly about a week ago, so things have been difficult at the office this past week. Other than that, life it pretty good! Can't wait until the sun sets later than 4:10 though, always a rough time of year.

Hey long time. I have been thinking about this again. Not sure how well my 1080, 2 1070's and 4 1060's would do since they would be old now.

Trying to get back into this with an old 8350 that has a 1070 and 1080 in it. Boinc not seeing either card. I want to in this headless. Is there something I am missing?

It's back. Does not like RDP at all. Looks like it doesn't even try to pull gpu tasks even disconnected. Using TeamViewer seems to work. I can't figure out my old login so I started a new one and joined it to the team.

when i used to run all my systems i never had to use the heat pump at my house, the computers heated the whole house well. lol

every little bit helps. if you want all your points under the same name, best try to reset password on your old login.

Well 1080 is online on the old fx 8350. I have room to put a 1070 in there and might move the other 5 to my office under linux and see if I can get them all going. That would be 1 1070 and 4 1060 6gb cards.

I'm back with just my old gaming rig at the mo. Still got the 3770k and a 7950. Crunching some WCG and Moo. (Moo tasks are taking 24 minutes)
I hope to get back into some serious crunching with a new build in the coming year.
So we don;t have any BGB comps now? Thats a shame as I had a lot of fun back than!
I hope that we can get some old members (and new!!) up and running again and get the team back to what it used to be.

I am back. I have a 1080 and 1070 going right now and trying to buy a am3+ board with ram and 1100t to run the rest of the gpu's. Should run 3 or 4 more cards. 1 more 1070 and 3 1060 6gb so I should be able to have a decent setup again. These were my old mining GPU's.

hmm might not be able to run 4 gpu's on a crosshair iv. Got 4 in but its not stable. I will keep playing with it I guess. Would like to get 3 1060 6gb and a 1070 going if I can.

I just grabbed a dual E5-2620 setup. Going to see how it performs with CPU tasks and might even put a GPU or 2 in it if the power draw isn't too insane. Looks like it has really old BIOS firmware so I want to look at updating that and see if I can grab some cheap v2 CPUs and increase the core count a bit.
