Hello evrybody. Just joined this forum 'cos it looks like I've finally found the goto place for info.
About me:- Brit, Retired, living south west France (Pyrenees), I like playing with stuff. By force of circumstance found myself having to
do a new build using pretty old stuff based on a new gigabyte 990-FX Gaming mobo. Fitted a Samsung Evo 960 ssd but found it impossible to install as boot with Win 10 ?

to FWUPOW !! You rock, your video on Youtube which led me here, and your excellent post on installation got me up and running.
Out here in the sticks my nearest spares shop is about 100 miles away, so getting help/ advice is problematic and the local techs
cost 50 euros per hour. (60 $)
So, What I'd like to do is get this old beast running as well as she can, I think I'm gonna need help and patience (mine and probably yours).
For info, the rig (RIG!! that's a laugh, more like a donkey pump): -
Mobo....................GA-990fx Gaming
Memory.................4 sticks of OCZ Reaper 2gb 1600 7-7-7-?
Boot disc..............Samsung EVO 960 250gb
Store disc.............Seagate Firecuda 1To
Graphics..............Radeon 5870, ( I have three, yet to decide on crossfire)
Power...................DarkPower 1000w platignum.
I've got a few monitors lying around for a possible multi screen setup, but that's for later.
Well, that's me ladies and gentlemen, looking foreward to talkin some more.
