I recently bought an EVGA GeForce GTX 660Ti Signarure 2 On sale, Also, Cause I needed a new GPU, Cause I recently switched to Desktop, Got tired of using my laptop with a I7 + GTX 560M
So, I have been using a Nvidia GeForce 8400GS temporary, Until I bought a better GPU, I decided to go with the 660Ti, [Wanted to stick with nVidia] and When it arrived, It looked nice and should work fine on the PCI 2.0 on my Motherboard.
But nope, Then the issues came.
After I installed the 660 Ti Into the First PCI-E On my motherboard, Started the computer, Fans started spinning, But no, Didn't get any picture on the screens.
Tried the 8400GS again, Worked, But not with the 660Ti, The PCI-E Power was plugged into the Card.
So, after a while, Playing around trying to fix it, I found a [Not sure to say] ugly way to Make it work.
Had to install the 8400 GS into the PCI-E #1 Slot, and the 660Ti into the PCI-E #2 Slot, And then plugged the HDMI into the 8400GS, and Then the screens [picture] went alive.
So I went into the BIOS, And checked it actually got detected, And yes, It did, And It booted with No problems into windows, And GPU Was detected in the Nvidia Control Panel.
System Specs.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz, Clocked to 3.12GHz.
RAM: 8 GB [4x 2GB sticks] Crucial 1333 RAM
Motherboard: Intel DX38BT [Flashed to latest bios]
PSU: Corsair CX600
GPU1: nVidia Geforce 8400GS
GPU2: nVidia GeForce GTX 660Ti [Evga Signature 2]
SSD: 180 GB Intel 330 Series
HDD: 2TB Seagate Baracuda
OS: Windows 7 Professional SP 1 x64
[Not important] Case: Fractal Design Core 3000
So, Everything works fine with Both GPU's installed, Have been testing around In agmes, And getting a Ok FPS, Around 100 fps In Garrys Mod with everything on max [Playing this alot]
Video Rendering: Slow using CUDA, Was actually faster on my laptop with a 560M and a I7, Using cuda ._.
The motherboard does not have any intregated graphics output.

The Setup was before used as a Server, But should not have any affects.
So, Would the best thing to do Is to upgrade the motherboard, cpu, OR just have this weird setup with a PCI-E 1 Gen 8400 with a Pci-e 3 Gen running on Gen2 and Have the problems?
I also added my computer to the rigbuilder, It is in my signature.
