okay now that i have that thread going above i have too find out yet another problem i am having....
I just put together another system, and i went too install windows with the disk in the tray and whenever there is a disk in the tray the monitor shuts off (goes amber color) there is a video card in there the monitor is hooked too so it isnt onboard video. please any reasons for this are greatly appreciated.

Very possible that the video card is dead.

Try it out in another rig. Or if it has onboard, use that to install, then go back to the other card.

Also, you could try a new PSU.

If its Onboard VGA then I would reccomend Updating the Motherboards BIOS. However if its an Expansion VGA card then I would try another PSU in that system as it sounds like the CDROM is drawing the last power the PSU can give.
