Hey guys,

I've had the machine in my rig running great for 4-5 months now, however in the last week or 2, on a cold boot, Windows 7 will BSOD and reboot. The BSOD does not happen consistently or every time I start the computer... so this has me stumped.

Upon reboot, I get into Windows 7 and everything runs fine. Bluescreenviewer is showing code CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION / 0x000000f4 on ntoskrnl.exe.

Only thing I can really say that has changed is 10-20 Windows Updates that I have installed.. no software or hardware changes recently.

Ran Memtest on my ram, and Prime 95 for 4-5 hours without any issues. My SSD has the latest firmware. Updated my mobo bios, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that maybe that will solve this issue.

Would it be possible that my SSD is dying?

Thank you guys!

Try repairing your Windows installation. If your installation disc does not have SP1 you will not be able to use it to repair. You can download the .iso with SP1 from Microsoft.

Thanks for the reply RX7-2nr. I could easily format and do a fresh install of Windows 8, which I have been meaning to try out.

Do u think this is just a software problem?

You dont have to format. Just do a repair installation.
