Budget build for friends father

Building a budget PC for my friends father. He has always had the same slow build for years that is, sad..

At first we were just looking for a cheap build with onboard video, but then after seeing how cheap I could put together a nice dual core build, we decided to add a cheap video card..
What does everyone think of this build? I'm ready to order now.
He already has a newer dvd burner, keyboard/mouse/monitor/speakers..

Btw we are not concerned about the case.. This pc will be built, then it will go in his office where it will sit for years to come...

What psu would you recommend for this build? Doing whatever we can to save money

will most likely never overclock

Looks like a solid build for an office PC. Good choice on the WD AAKS drive.

You'd be better off with this PSU ($60)

Looks nice... But i still don't get it, why would a workstation need any video card at all? isn't it better to keep those extra bucks, or just get a PhII x3 , that will perform better , cause you need multitasking and speed , not hd videos and gaming for office work.

710 Combo or 720 combo will handle anything you need.If you want something cheaper , get the same cpu with a 780g or 780v like this for instance Foxconn A7VMX-K AM2+/AM2 AMD 780V Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

And CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX for a guaranteed quality PSU

I should have clarified, its not really a 'office pc', just a home pc.

My friends dad isn't really into pc's much, he has only recently started to get into email and using the internet a lot...

He will probably never game, but it doesn't hurt to have a cheap card to game if he wants..

We just today got the pc built, threw WoW on it and went to full settings to check it out. Runs pretty damn nice!

Not a bad build imo for $400.. I'm probably gonna build myself a pc based 'around' this build except get a 4870 or better
