Hey guys, my Uncle's PC is just completely beyond help and I've convinced him to go ahead and upgrade and I told him I would build it for him. I wish I would have caught that Tiger Direct bundle deal as it looked perfect.

The key word here is CHEAP.
Budget around $300-400

All they really do is stream music and look at webpages. HD video would be nice too.
I've been stumped on some parts so outside insight would be much appreciated!

Need everything besides an OS/monitor/keyboard+mouse

ath II x2 , 2x1GB ddr3 and a biostar AM3 board should be adequate, I am running that for my web machine

890GX board is very cheap as well, and maybe a 3-400W quality PSU
For better performance grab a phenom II x2 CPU feels much smoother than the athlon

250 and biostar AM3 setuup
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.352798 $115 AMIR

1333 7-7-7 ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227244 $50 AMIR

380 earthwatts PSU

$45

790GX is pretty strong for an IGP, and will handle GPU acceleration duties.

You can even play older video games on it. (I had MX vs ATV unleashed as well as some disney games for the kids installed on mine)

If you can splurge for the 890GX it should be even better but not sure from experience

Very nice, will the onboard video suit them for HD play back and what not you think?

I have extreme doubts you could get any HD content to play on that Nvidia IGP, if it's anything like the Geforce 6150 I once used.

Like Th0m0 said, the 4200 is a really good graphics chip. It's also matched to 785G chipset motherboards, which end up being very cost effective options for what they are.

Yeah, get a different mobo then. That's a system I specced for someone who just need an internet browsing machine that they wouldn't have to upgrade for five years.

I think the rest should suit your uncle perfectly though.
