I am in need to create a pc from a friend that can pay up to 500 euro. I made myself a compilation but it comes to 600+ euros

He have seen this compilation and wanted to buy it

http://translate.google.com/translat...istory_state0=

What i ended up with are these parts

PROCESSOR - CPU : INTEL CORE 2 DUO E7400 2.80 GHZ
SCREEN : VIEWSONIC VA2016W 20'' LCD
HARD DRIVE : SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.11 500GB
RAM :OCZ 2GB (2X1GB) DDR3 PC3-10666 REAPER
GRAPHICS CARD : SAPPHIRE RADEON HD4850 512MB DDR3
MOTHERBOARD : ASROCK P43TWINS1600
DVD RECORDER : PIONEER DVR-216DBK BLACK BULK
CASE : ASUS TA-863
PSU : OCZ STEALTH XSTREAM POWER SUPPLY 500W
KEYBOARD/MOUSE : SAMSUNG PLEOMAX DESKSET BLACK
SPEAKERS : SWEEX 2.1 SUBWOOFER SYSTEM

Well with all that i hit 670 euro so its 170 euro over what it should be. Can anyone please go to the site that its on the link under here and compile something more cheap. He really needs everything even mouse, keyboard and speakers. Try to stay close to 500 or at least not over 600.

Thanks a lot ^_^

500 for a full pc with keyboard, monitor, and speakers is gonna be hard and won't leave too much room to upgrade in the future. I think you're build is pretty solid.

I would opt for a different motherboard and stick with DDR2 since it is pretty cheap right now. A 2x2gb set of 1066 G-skill ram would be pretty good.

Also, going with a 19" monitor over the 20" monitor will shave around 30 off the price.

1. Pick up a different processor. The 7000 series dual cores weren't great for overclocking at all. Think about the E8400 as an alternative.
2. Don't do that RAM. DDR3 won't see a huge performance boost over DDR2 considering the susbstantial price increase you will incur.
3. Pick up a different motherboard. The Gigabyte ud3p are among the best motherboards I have ever built with and they're fairly inexpensive.
4. The changes I suggested might even bring the price down a bit (and should significantly increase performance). I saw a solid build earlier for about 550USD on newegg with a similar setup.

Good luck.

EDIT: 4GB of DDR2 > 2GB DDR3 && Less expensive.

thanks a lot guys. + up for your fast replies ^_^ The ram info really cut the price down ^_^
If 3.5G is goal, then E7400 is fine. Otherwise, pick up different chip. I got one for my kid and two to build rig for others. They are 3.5G to 3.7G.
