k thanks that really helps. my lack of knowledge of AMD is really confusing me... 3800 overclocking to the same as a 4200 could have cost me in the long run.<br />
what price would you say "go for it" for an x2 3800?
I believe it should be. It's a good PSU with 29A on the 12V rails. That should be enough for a 7900GS and that CPU.<br />
Also, do note that I changed the mobo yet again. I went with an Asus based on the nForce4 Ultra-D. Again, a good overclocker, although not as hot as the DFI Lanparty. It should play nice with that X2 3800+ though.
