k thanks that really helps. my lack of knowledge of AMD is really confusing me... 3800 overclocking to the same as a 4200 could have cost me in the long run.
what price would you say "go for it" for an x2 3800?

I believe it should be. It's a good PSU with 29A on the 12V rails. That should be enough for a 7900GS and that CPU.

Also, do note that I changed the mobo yet again. I went with an Asus based on the nForce4 Ultra-D. Again, a good overclocker, although not as hot as the DFI Lanparty. It should play nice with that X2 3800+ though.

The CDBHE 0532 seems to be a really good stepping, a quick google shows people getting 2.7GHZ

I'll add you to my MSN next time I log on but I'll warn you that I *VERY* rarely go on =P

is 155$ US a good price? thats like 170 CDN + shipping/customs. but i love the idea of helping people on here sell their stuff, as opposed to NCIX (who i like, but you know)

If you're still considering an S939 setup, you could get this mobo from a member here.

Good luck!

yeah it is, but you should still be able to use the card.

What case will you be getting for it? I don't suggest a SFF m-ATX case if you plan to OC a lot.
