Hi OCN,
I've been in the wonderful world of computers for about two years now, and last year I built my first computer, a basic gaming rig in a 650D. A good highschool friend of mine, Oliver1234, the guy behind Magnum (The Acrylic Loop 350D on here) has showed me around the other side of computers, dealing with more the aesthetic and "cooler" side of things (See what I did there?
tongue.gif
). Since then, I've been opened up to the world of modding and watercooling, and figured I'd try my hand at something a bit more... interesting.

Idea
So I wanted to do a somewhat compact build for college to allow good portability in between home and school. I'm a man of color, and am not a HUGE fan of the classic stuff, so I figured I'd try a somewhat obscure color scheme. Through much conversation with Oliver, and tossing around of concepts, we settled on a black, white, red, and purple. Right now we're thinking something along the lines of purple tubing, red carbon fiber accents, a white paint job to the case, and sleeving, which will feature all colors.

Parts List
I plan on this build lasting me through college (Junior in high school currently), so I pretty much aimed at the latest and greatest of today's hardware without getting too ridiculous. Feel free to criticize the part choices, but I can't promise you will change anything.

Update time!!

We got a response a response from Onlinemetals.com asking for pictures of the aluminum, so props for the good customer support. They were kind enough to let me know of my errors, there was a thin layer of plastic covering the aluminum. Today we did some testing with the jigsaw to make sure that it will cut the aluminum fine.

Goodbye top panel and hello...HAMMA TIME

This is what I mean when I say modding

(Don't worry the top panel will be replaced to house a 240mm radiator)

Removed the mesh/ grate area from the window

Time to get your grind on...

but be sure to file in to see what is happening.

Before

After

Took a trip to Oliver's Grandpa's house to find out that we can use his spray gun and air compressor. Looks like it's time to order House of Kolor paint then.

Picture time!!

Ok guys we have 5 boxes so until Oliver and I really get to work on the computer we shall play the guessing game. Feel free to participate if you want. Oliver you cannot participate in this sorry, but would have an advantage.
smile.gif

First a large white box!!

Next there is a tube... interesting.

Newegg?! Now why would we need that?

The brown box wouldn't tell me anything so feel free to interrogate it yourself.

Finally we have a little box

Enjoy and good luck!!

Alright guys I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, Oliver and I will not be able to work together this weekend.
mad.gif
That means there will not be any major updates other than packages arriving and working on the graphic design software. On the other hand all of the major packages other than the components of the computer will be here by the end of the weekend.

Thank you and welcome to the build log.

We are trying to make sure we don't have a mental breakdown with all the complications so far, but overall things have run "smoothly".

That is only the tip of the iceberg, so if you're excited now wait for the end product.

Ok so there is a thunderstorm occurring in Oliver and my neighborhood. Luckily I still have power, but Oliver does not. He has told me that he will continue to sleeve even in the darkness. I don't expect the power to come back tonight so there will probably not be any updates tonight.

Alright guys we are back after a few days of break for various reasons and better than ever. To start off we recieved the motherboard, the cpu and ram.

Starting with Asus' beautiful new Maximus VII Gene.

Next is the brand new Haswell Refresh processor the i7-4790k

Can't wait to overclock this bad boy in the future.
biggrin.gif

We made a small test bench to make sure that everything works.

Also a glance at the first cable completed.

Alright guys as Oliver has mentioned I am now out of town and will not be able to work on the computer for the rest of the month.
thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
I will be on OCN daily so I will be answering responses and questions. Oliver and his grandpa were able to finish the paint job as I left town, but more importantly we came up with a name for the computer. May I present to you

Blowout

Oliver put the motherboard and power supply in to show that beauty

My idea is to build this case (not especial like your ofc) with a watercooling system but, my biggest doubt is....cilindric reservoir or bay reservoir?

Sorry for my bad level english
thumb.gif
I noticed that this is your first post so welcome to overclock.net. Don't worry about the English, I was able to tell what you were saying (and you are speaking english very well).
wink.gif
We are putting the 2 cylindrical reservoirs on the outside of the side panels.
biggrin.gif
Also at this moment we are not planning on putting a 120 radiator in the front due to convenience and it being a tight fit.

As for a cylinder or bay reservoir, I would recommend cylinder because the 5.25 bay in the front can interfere with routing the tubes and other things.

Also, we'll hopefully have lots of packages and goodies to share with you when I'm back Wednesday. I'll give away my methods when I'm back, but for the next few days, I'll leave you to drool and discuss with Ninja how it's going... I haven't even told him what I did yet...

And it's a good thing you didn't tell me, I would be waiting "patiently" for hours.

Anyways beautiful job Oliver!!
