Ok well to start this off, I was not happy with choices of cases allowing atleast 10x120 worth of rad in my budget that was not insanely large. So i settled on using 2 Fractal define S cases. Plan is simple, gut one of the cases, rivet them together. Make a custom rear rad panel, and will need to make a custom window. Theme will be Black, silver, purple.

Latest Update preview:

Parts list so far:
Fractal define S x2
corsair rmx 850
Ryzen 1700
Msi x370 Titanium
2x8gb gskill trident Z 3200 cl14
WD 500gb M.2 ssd
intel 730 ssd
Bitspower 150 reservoir
Monsoon fittings (purple)
2x 360 swiftech QP
1x 240 swiftech QP
i have 2 spare st 120's but will wait for gpu loop upgrade to just add another 240 or 360
Primochill 3/8x1/2 PETG
Fury nano w/ek block. (yes i know need to upgrade... waiting for vega to split to dual loop with new gpu's)
Swiftech mcp 355 with xspc top.
Heatkiller 3.0 w/modded mount (will change to ek monoblock in 3-4 weeks)
Gelid silent 1000rpm fans x8
Primochill UV purple coolant.

So ... here we go.

Removed the motherboard panel

Time to cut out the rear panel

New rear panel to match the front

Using 1/8" aluminum to fill the gap due to the overhang of the top panel. Rivets drilled to match both sides.

In place and ready

Time to retire that phenom (yes i still use one

) That seat is out of a mazda rx8 i had sitting around among my piles of rotary parts.

Getting ready to rivet the new rear panel in place

Bam one piece. Cant believe how rigid the case is now.

A rough look at what it will look like (unfinished, just used the extra window panel on the opposite side)

Some parts arrived

Time to make it look seamless. Used JB stick to fill the gap.

So i did a quick run over with satin black. Still have some scratches showing on the seam due to roughing in the filler. Looks like i need to go back over it with finer sandpaper.

So this is where i am at so far. The weather is making it take forever to get this paint cured so i can continue. The rest of the parts will be here over the next few days. As for the size of this case. Originally i had planned to get the thermaltake tower 900. This is ~1.5" wider and longer, BUT is 11" shorter. This case will now hold 5x360mm rads, and the plan is to run a 360mm+240mm per loop. When vega drops I will get a second pump+res and another 240 or 360 and run dual loops with whichever gpu's look like the best deal (1080ti/vega)

Thanks! It is seriously cost effective compared to a case of equivelant specs.

I am in the process of designing my own cube case to be built from scratch, and am curious what are the outer dimensions of this case?

I will get dimensions for you in a bit. It is totally worth it though, to get a case this size arranged the way i wanted was going to cost a LOT. This was less than 200$. Im still not done but so far it looks really nice imo.

Thanks! And yeah, it is looking really good so far.

I don't really have any metal working tools or skills, so mine is going to be built out of wood with a fair bit of glass. Right now, I am limited to a depth of 16" and a 24" width with height somewhere in the 30" range, but I am wanting to stick as close to a cube as possible.

So here is it so far, Still need to figure out lighting. I want to reconfigure the second case's power/reset buttons to turn lights on and off. So right now it is not installed. Temperatures are insane so far, max load 29c BUT still need to play with cpu overclocks. Ram is up to speed and the fury nano is running fury X clocks.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how i could mod the power button to switch on and off some LED's? Really need some UV LED's to make this coolant POP. But i would really like to be able to just click it on and off manually and would be sweet to use existing stuff that matches the case.

Are you wanting to tie it directly to the power, so that when the system is turned on, the light comes on automatically, or a button to control them independently?

When the computer is running i would like to be able to hit the spare power button and turn all the lights on. Whichever uv lighting i want.

you could do it easier with the fan controller switch. You could use that as the switch for the lights you'd want. You could even have it as two different lights.

One side would be White (for example) middle would be off and other side would be UV. You'd even have the switch already, just need to solder some wires

i dont have a fan control switch. But therebis the power and reset so could have each do a seperate set. Though i guess those are more contact than a switch... but i could change that...
