I decided to start my build log. I will open by saying my inspiration was Nordar and much of my color theme and style was modeled after his, specifically the white sleeving and painting of the fans. Here is a list of the major components. The build will be a triple loop housed completely inside of a Little Devil PC-V8 case (all black) and will use white tubing and sleeving. The major PC components of interest will be a Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 motherboard, i7-2600k processor and three GTX470 video cards in 3 Way SLI. The case was shipped Friday, 4/1 (I hope it wasn't and April Fool's Joke) so I am waiting until it arrives to wrap up some of the design details. Hopefully everything fits. I am slightly concerned about the 3 res's and pumps, however I am an ex-tool and die maker with access to a machine shop so I think I should be ok (finger's crossed). Here are the major components:

Little Devil PC-V8 Case (all black)
Aquaero 5 with a Waterblock, 2 Power Adjusts, 3 Flow Sensors and 3 Temp Sensors
EK Supreme HM CPU Block
EK GeForce 470 GTX GPU Blocks and Back Plates
EK 3 Way SLI Bridge and Links
EK Motherboard Block
3 XSPC RX480 Radiators (one for CPU loop and two for Video Card loop)
2 Swiftech MCP655 Pumps (one for each loop)
2 IandH 175mm Reservoirs (one for each loop)
17 120mm Gentle Typhoon AP-15's
1 90mm Gentle Typhoon
Bitspower Swivel Fittings in Black
Primochill 7/16 ID Tubing
MDPC White Sleeving and Shrink

more to come .....

The fans, taped up and ready for some colored goodness. I also desoldered the wires from the PCB and will replace them with white, of the exact length required. The white will stop the bleeding through the sleeving and the length for cable management purposes, which i suck at but am going to try to do a good job at. More about that later.

Well, finally got a chance to paint the fans. This is where lots of the credit goes to nordar. I'm not sure i would have thought of this but after seeing his, it was a no brainer. I put the two pieces together for the picture but the PCB's aren't installed yet. I want to make the cables all the proper length and am waiting for the case to arrive, which should be Tuesday of Wednesday. I will be attaching the fans to the Aquaero 5 and will be simplifying the routing of the cables with the other item pictured, which will be painted black to match the case. I really suck at cable management but am going to try my best. Also, to prevent blead through on the sleeving I will be replacing all the fan wires with white 26ga.

Thee the Little Devil PC-V8 showed up today. I won't bore you with the stand alone shots snce enugh have already been posted. What I can do now is start to measure my fan wires and re-assemble the fans. Here is my soldering setup and a few pictures of the fans, from start to finish. It takes about 20 minutes each to solder them up, sleeve them and reassemble. i am testing them with a power supply and the jumper trick to make sure the spin

Here are two shot of the case, for people wondering how things fit. With two RX480s in the bottom and fans on both sides it is getting pretty tight between the rads. The is enough room for the power supply support and thats about it. Also, of note, the rads must be rotated so the ports are at opposite ends for the elbow fitting to clear. Lastly, the power supply support has a slot in the upright which allows 5/8 OD tubing to go through. 3/4 OD would need a slight mod to the upright.

I got all of the fans sleeved today. What a chore. I think the total was 10 or 12 hours. For those new to sleeving, like me, it gets MUCH easier as you go. I bolted the mobo into the case to see how the pumps and res's were going to line up. I know there is room for a triple loop but until you get the items its difficult to vision. I am going to come out of all 3 pumps using a 90 degree elbow and go ditectly through the bottom plate and into the bottom chanber. My concern is the existing slots in the case. They may interfere with my plans. I also want to "stub off" the cabled for the video cards from the power supply into a flush bount in the bottom plate. This will allow me to use a short jumper cable , six of them, to plug the video cards into the stubs. This is an idea I picked up ove ar MDPC. The other concern is the slots in the back plate where the res's will mount. I plan on running a 90 out of the top of the res's and through the back plate for filling. Enough for now. Here's some pics.

Enjoy,
John

would it not be better if you took the psu support bracket out to create some more space for another fan maybe, coz it looks as its the same heigh as radiators so it wouldnt really matter?

Also 3 loops, cant waitto see finished product.

The PS does sit on the brace. It carries a lot of the load of the PS. There are no fans between the rads, they will only be on the outsides. There is about a 1 1/2 in gap between the rads. This is critical space. I plan on having all three loops pass through the bottom chanber. The will be a drain in each line that goes out the bottom of the cas. There will also be a flow sensor and temp monitor in each loop that hook up to the Aquaero 5, when it arrives. (that was a little slap for Shoggy).

Thanks,
John
