LittleDevil

hey guys well its been a long 2 months of waiting and looking for the best deals and im finally here! well i spent half the day yesterday building testing and wire managment on the system and of course taking loads of pics!... well to start heres a list of steps im taking till the product is full and finished.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steps of the Build

1. Buying Phase

2. Building Phase Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

3. installing and testing Phase

4. In normal use pics and setup pics part 1 | Part 2

5. enjoy the system!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A little bit of the story

I was initially going with a Sapphire HD5850 which i got on a great deal but i sold that ahead for a decent chunk of change and picked up a GTX 470 on another great deal
this process really helped me appreciate taking my time to build a system being over zealous never helps the cost of your system.
well anyways i have all the pics downloaded and resized will be uploading as i get home and should have those up soon after. The reason for this build was to run FFXIV at a minimal cost and minimal size. With the vulcan i really got the chance to make the minimal size come true
... well anyways i was a huge fan of FFXI and me and a bunch of my buddies played alot! well the name of my character was LittleDevil but that seems a bit too childish for my character in FFXIV so im gonna be naming my system LittleDevil

hehe so what do you think is a better case? it must fit in the compartment and must be a mATX case not an ATX case that can have a mATX mobo in it and why do u say this case is not a good case?? some explanation would be nice

With that case you either love it or hate it.

Awesome build, really love the black and orange.

While this build is in no way a letdown, with all this talk of LittleDevil and phase, I really thought you were getting one of these.

Regardless, this build is definitely awesome.

you gotta be kidding me if your saying the CM 690 II looks better than the vulcan
its so plain and boring
but to each his own i like how it looks and i wanted a mATX case not a mid tower anyways.

thanks alot AFQ yea man im missing the modding game back in PK aswell but had to move on man... im glad to see i left a mark

anyways here comes the big update

Setup Phase Part 2

i got my monitor yesterday and well it was cracked :O it was horrible i didnt even know what to do i quickly went to the seller on ebay and submitted an RMA on his site and as i did that i remembered that they had the P2770Hs for $300 at costco so i grabbed my car drove over to 2 costcos searching for it and found it at the second costco... so here are the pics
(no pics of the broken screen was too much in shock to take pics i packed it up and put it aside asap)

the box is awesome

contents

setting up the stand

done

monitor ready

damn its slim

got my 360 setup

my setup

i also got my Logitech G35s in the mail and got em for a great price

G35!

i love the Touch of Color of samsungs couldnt take a stable pic due to the lighting

fan error is only there because i dont have anything plugged into the cpu fan 4 pin

another look at my setup with everything done

a look at my temps... my room temp was around 25-27C so pretty happy overall

and after having installed everything i was ready to go to install THE GAME i made this system for
here it is! FFXIV!

i love square

limited edition with the game a diary( i dont know why
) and a security token i have something similar for work hehe pretty intense

security token - it should be easier to just use the code received rather than a password (well see)

recommended system req:

OS -> Check
CPU -> Check
RAM -> Check
HDD space -> Check
GPU -> check
and the rest -> CHECK!

w00t im good to go

its got a suprisingly intuitive leveling system which is VERY different from anything ive seen before which adds a bit of puzzlement to the game but i like it like that hehe
