Hi all<br><br>
When I first saw the Prodigy I was sold, and knew I had to have one and make a killer transportable rig in it.<br><br>
Only down size was the only option of a ITX motherboard with only one PCI-e slot and socket 1155.<br>
And I believe I am/was not alone in the boat :-(<br><br>
BUT to the rescue a custom motherboard came in sight, which would allow me to make a much more powerfull system in the prodigy case.<br><br>
So this will be the build log of what to me in some time was "Unobtainable".<br>
Hope you like it, any suggestions is welcome <img alt="smile.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
Thanks to the sponsors who have help me make this rig possible <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif">:<br><a class="bbcode_url" href="https://www.aquatuning.de/index.php/language/en" target="_blank">Aquatuning.de</a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1042200/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1042200" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1042200/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 468px; height: 60px"></a><br><br><a class="bbcode_url" href="http://coolgamers.dk/" target="_blank">Coolgamers.dk</a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1041012/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1041012" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1041012/width/200/height/400/flags/LL" style="; width: 200px; height: 93px"></a><br><br><a class="bbcode_url" href="http://www.nzxt.com/new/" target="_blank">NZXT</a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1041015/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1041015" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1041015/width/200/height/400/flags/LL" style="; width: 200px; height: 100px"></a><br><br>

So lets get some updates with this build.<br><a class="spoiler-link H-spoiler-toggle" href="#"><strong>A lot of pictures of products and some of it installed (17-09-2012)</strong> <span class="spoiler-help">(Click to show)</span></a><div class="spoiler-hidden">To day the first package from <a class="bbcode_url" href="https://www.aquatuning.de/index.php/language/en/XTCsid/1il8fj4unhjnsl05dflijeupb5" target="_blank">Aquatuning.de</a> arrived so let's have a look at it:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052308/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052308" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052308/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
A lot of great stuff in there, I am really looking forward to see what Alphacool Heatmaster can do:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052310/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052310" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052310/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052313/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052313" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052313/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
Also some temperture and flow sensor:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052344/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052344" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052344/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
And it fits perfectly in the PSU cage:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052317/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052317" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052317/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
Also got some stuff for PSU sleeving:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052321/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052321" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052321/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
I have done some of what I think it should look like:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052322/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052322" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052322/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br>
Like it?<br><br>
And the three radiators<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052335/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052335" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052335/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052339/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052339" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052339/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
And some Masterkleer tupe:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052347/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052347" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052347/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
And one (another will come as well) Reservoir:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052350/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052350" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052350/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br>
Looks really nice:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052367/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052367" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052367/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
Also got the two HD 7950 waterblocks:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052351/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052351" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052351/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052352/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052352" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052352/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
And first the installation of the 120 mm radiator:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052354/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052354" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052354/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
With a bitfenix Spetre Pro 140 mm on the outside:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052356/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052356" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052356/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
And then the rest installed:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052357/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1052357" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1052357/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 333px"></a><br><br>
I might flip the 240 mm radiator so the fittings outlet is at the 140 mm end.<br>
Will look at that tomorrow <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><br><br>
And as you might see the red coloar on the DIMM slots really stands out, so I will later try painting them along the Motherboard Power and the two Orange Sata ports <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"></div>
<br><a class="spoiler-link H-spoiler-toggle" href="#"><strong>Pictures of installed HW (21-09-2012)</strong> <span class="spoiler-help">(Click to show)</span></a><div class="spoiler-hidden">So today I got some more things in the door that I have played with, so wanted to bring you some updates:<br><br>
First I got some nice things from my good friend at Coolgamers.dk <img alt="biggrin.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif">:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057600/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057600" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057600/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
The two EK RAM, Sumpremacy, Swiftech MCP35X and EK top some fittings, EK-TIM Indigo, Feser One light and a Bitfenix spectre Pro 200.<br><br>
I bought the MCP35X to get the PWM control, but doesn't really like the swiftech top:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057603/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057603" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057603/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
So to go in the same path, I got the CSQ Pexi top from EK:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057607/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057607" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057607/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
I also got the 200 mm fan installed which <i>just</i> fitted in there <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif">:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057624/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057624" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057624/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
I also got a package from PCB.se which had the new Hale90 1000W powersupply from <a class="bbcode_url" href="http://www.NZXT.com" target="_blank">NXZT</a> (Thanks again <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif">)<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057634/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057634" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057634/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
A really nice powersupply in a perfekt white coloar which will go great with the white Prodigy case:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057641/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057641" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057641/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
Though not fully modular, and there is fairly many connectors there:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057644/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057644" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057644/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
But they will be sleeved and the not used cut of and the others shorted to make the fit just right in the case <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><br>
The PSU is also 180 mm in lenght, so the PSU holder will be modded to fit it propperly.<br><br>
Along the PSU I also got the first GPU (other one not in stock <img alt="mad.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/mad.gif">) which is the Gigabyte HD 7950:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057650/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057650" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057650/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
Normally not liking the blue PCB, but it will fit in this build <img alt="biggrin.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057652/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057652" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057652/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
So here is the first RAM block and CPU block installed:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057659/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057659" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057659/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
Here with the other RAM block as well and the Pump and flow meter. The pump will get installed on som anti vibration foam:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057666/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057666" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057666/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
And here the GPU with the block installed (remember that one more will get in there <img alt="wink.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/wink.gif">)<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057671/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1057671" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1057671/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
So hope you liked it and in beginning of next week I will get fittings, and then a pain in the ass begins; connecting it all in a loop ;-)</div>
<br><a class="spoiler-link H-spoiler-toggle" href="#"><strong>HW presentation (28-09-2012)</strong> <span class="spoiler-help">(Click to show)</span></a><div class="spoiler-hidden">First I got an other package from <a class="bbcode_url" href="http://www.aquatuning.de/index.php/language/en/XTCsid/r6mo6q5gv2eh94linatf21i4v2" target="_blank">Aquatuning.de</a> which mostly contains fittings:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066309/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066309" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066309/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
But also got the Chipset and Mosfet block:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066312/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066312" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066312/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066313/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066313" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066313/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
The Koolance Heat Transfer block to the Mosfet should hopefully arrive tomorrow or monday <img alt="biggrin.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>
In that package there also was the Back plate for the GPU and single slot I/O plate:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066315/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066315" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066315/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066316/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066316" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066316/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 750px"></a><br><br>
I believe the two GPU can fit in there:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066317/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066317" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066317/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 750px"></a><br><br>
If Im lucky the other HD 7950 could arrive next friday (cross fingers <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif">)<br><br>
There was also some smaller things like some UV light, dust filter, Anit kink (not sure if I will use it) and som anti vibration for the two HDD.<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066320/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066320" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066320/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
Also from Aquatuning.de I got a nice cup<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066322/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066322" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066322/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 750px"></a><br><br>
And what not better then a clock running on just water <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066327/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066327" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066327/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a></div>

I like the result. Most of the non modular cables will get removed so except the CPU and 20 pin motherboard.<br>
And then I will use the modular cables and shorten them to make it fit better and then of course sleeving them <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><br><br>
And then to the installation of the fittings and tupes.<br>
BUT I realised that placing the two 120 mm fans on the out side will make the tuping and inside look a lot better, and it doesn't look that bad to have them out side:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066346/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066346" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066346/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>
Also installed the Heatmaster beside the PSU. Looking forward to test it <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066373/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066373" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066373/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>

And then with tupes, which did take some time becaurse of the small space:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066356/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066356" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066356/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066357/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1066357" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1066357/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a></div>

And as you can see I have also sleeved and shorten most of cables.<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1075259/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1075259" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1075259/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1075262/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1075262" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1075262/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 750px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1075264/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1075264" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1075264/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>

The back plate will be painted white and the RAM dimms blue to make it fit the theme.<br><br>
And then it should be ready to be booted <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"></div>
<br><a class="spoiler-link H-spoiler-toggle" href="#"><strong>So lets tease a little bit more for the Unobtainable build (10-10-2012)</strong> <span class="spoiler-help">(Click to show)</span></a><div class="spoiler-hidden">Last night I booted the baby up and it all worked just fine (only in the bios).<br><br>

Now that's close for two GPU's <img alt="biggrin.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>

And then to the motherboard.<br>
Before:<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1081263/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1081263" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1081263/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 334px"></a><br><br>

<br><a class="spoiler-link H-spoiler-toggle" href="#"><strong>PSU fan change</strong> <span class="spoiler-help">(Click to show)</span></a><div class="spoiler-hidden">So It have been a bit quiet from me lately, but I have had an exam I also had to study for..<br><br>
First off:<br>
You remeber the all of a sudden leaking from the flowmeter?<br>
Well it seemed to be the o-ring sitting badly, so tried fixing it but no luck.<br>
So it goes out of the system (didn't need it any way) which might just make the whole build look a bit better and less caotic <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><br><br>
But the leak did bring me some troubles..<br>
MY pump didn't start after so was a bit mad at the time <img alt="mad.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/mad.gif"><br>
But out the pump goes and with a bit of time on the hot radiator fixed it (it had taken some water in) <img alt="biggrin.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>
So I said I would enter the Cooledpc.com competion but in the highst catagori, so I need to take away the two motherboard blocks and reservoir.<br>
So empty the build and now when I had it all out, I just need to change the fan on the PSU.<br><br>
WHY?<br>
Well, it is a nice PSU, but in idle, it's fan was the most noise part, which I just can't take.<br>
So out with that and in with a noctua P14 - FLX which is really good = no noise but better airflow.<br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1104124/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1104124" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1104124/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 299px"></a><br><a class="H-lightbox-open" href="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1104126/"><img alt="" class="lightbox-enabled" data-id="1104126" data-type="61" src="http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1104126/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 299px"></a><br>
Really love the noctua fans, but can't use them in general because of those damn colors..<br><br>
But the res, mobo blocks and flow meter came out, and the loop changed a bit and it all turned out really great (I believe).</div>
<br><b>Many great pictures of this build can be seen here:</b><br>
<a href="http://www.cooledpc.com/build/224" target="_blank">http://www.cooledpc.com/build/224</a><br><br>
Hope you like it and will share and vote <img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><hr class="bbcode_rule"><br>
Any way, Bench and such, well it turns out that the motherboard can't really OC.<br>
Been at it for some time now, but when I try to set a higher multiplier in the old looking BIOS it doens't really take any effect in the OS, or sometimes it gives a complete other setting. Along that the power isn't working that well a all either, so won't try to do more in case the motherboard fries it self along some other HW.<br><br>
I can tough tell you that, for some reason I not sure of, the front fan can't spin more then around 700 rpm of its 900 when it's inside the case (have tried two fans now). outside its around the 900, and nothing is hitting it inside the case.<br>
Could it be some magnetic interference from the cables or motherboard?<br><br>
So it doesn't perform that well :-( but with all fan at max (is a bit noisy) I get a CPU core temps around 50-54 and GPU at 44-46 when I make some long Prime 95 and along some Unique heaven. (though the GPU's only opperate at 70-80% when Prime 95 also is running).. And the water is around 42 degrees when it's stable<br><br>
About the Bench, well it would be any thing you havent seen since I cant OC the CPU :-(<br><br>
BUT you can check out Adamski's nice build, and be looking forward to my new build with just as much power (maybe even more), but in an even smaller case <img alt="thinking.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thinking.gif"><br><hr class="bbcode_rule"><br>
If you like my build and how it's made up you should really check out AdamSki07's build here:<br>

Modding the case to fit mATX and a really cool window<br><br>
golfergolfer is also doing a mATX mod that looks promising as well;<br>

I could spoil all the fun - Since I saw a post made by Fruergaard on a Danish Hardware/Auction-site - But I wont <img alt="wink.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/wink.gif"><br><br>
Crazy build mate - And really unique!<br><br>
The Prodigy is an awesome case to build around, truly is - Unfortunately the build-quality (Might be my own prodigy, got it from a pre-order at Caseking) is not up to par with what I am used to, so I am slowly selling of the bits and pieces from my own build.<br><br>
Anyhow, sidetrack, subbed here - The motherboard idea is a stroke of madness with brilliant sprinkled on top!<br><br><b>EDIT</b>: And PS - Change the title on the thread, you need to add "X79" - That will make everyone here at OCN come crawling from under their rocks - You might even get the uber geeks from the audio-section to have a look aswell <img alt="wink.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/wink.gif"> *Grins*

If there is a price on guessing it, I am -SO- blowing the whistle and playing this dirty *lol*.<br><br>
Regardless - Good luck with the build mate. Will check in and see the progress <img alt="smile.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
Heck, +REP from here. Again - using that motherboard is thinking out of the box, and I love it when people get creative and see possibilities where others do not.

I am almost 100% sure where that board came from simply based on the layout and my own use of products from its manufacturer many moons ago. How much did it cost you to get from them?<br><br>
I am curious to see how the board works in a traditional ITX setup, especially without cooling limitations since the BIOSes from the manufacturer haven't been very good in my experience. Shame it's hard to fit in traditional ITX cases due to.. you know.

Literally.<img alt="thumb.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/thumb.gif"><br><br>
If you can really exploit the board and do SLI or CFX in this build (with watercooling of course), even more heads will turn.<br><br>
It's not only the only X79 "ITX" mobo but also an ITX mobo with SLI/CFX support...<img alt="biggrin.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.overclock.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif">
