16/12/11 - MDPC-X Shipment Arrived

So this will be i think my third build int he 6 years i have been toying with computer and only my second watercooled rig, my previous rigs have been more of slight upgrades and maybe a new case where as this build is literally all new parts and no real "Budget" to speak of just me picking up the best parts in my eyes that i can get my hands on.

Like what seems to be the majority of AMD users on here i was waiting for the all mighty BullDozer but that flopped so i decided to make my first ever move into the Intel/nVidia play ground so this should be an interesting build for myself and those who chose to follow me.

One main reason i decided to do a build log is really to document the whole build and to hopefully show off some nice choices that will hopefully give this build the real clean look i want it to have plus im one of the brave lucky few folk in the UK who has the privilege of owning a CaseLabs as we get stung a fair bit on importing goods from the US. I do want to give a huge thanks to Jim over at CaseLabs for dealing with my questions quickly, has to be the best customer support for any product would highly recommend them to anyone !

Im still awaiting my shipment direct from Aquacomputer of my PowerAdjusts, Inline Temp & Flow Sensors ive been told this should be sent out in the next week as there awaiting productions of the PowerAdjusts.

Holy crap thats a lot of parts ive ordered ! anyway as you can see or at least in my eyes anyway this is going to be a rather special build, i would love to hear your opinions on what ive picked as my parts. As for the colour scheme atm im keeping it to myself because as far as i can find on here what i want to do hasn't exactly been done very much or at all colour wise anyway.

Smallish update, returned home yesterday and have started to build this up it looks as if itll have to stay running on air for a while as im still waiting on parts from Germany for my watercooling loops.

Its a valid point but im not a fan of waiting for the next big thing as if i did id be waiting forever before i bit the bullet and build something.

I should have it up and running in about 2 hours or so just installed windows so going though the updates etc then ill get BF3 on and give it a spin

Heres my pile of BitsPower fittings, think it maybe came to around £500+ at the end of the day

Camera is playing up but ill have a few more pics up hopefully later on if not tomorrow.

Rig is now pretty much built and up and running on Air i just hope my AquaComputer order gets shipped soon and my MDPC order should be here in about a week so i can start sleeving

So here my update so far, sadly im at a point where i cant go any further till my Aquacomputer order appears and i just hope that is soon !!

Blocks ill be using, i plan on having both feeds to the GPU's coming in the bottom card and on the CPU both will be going up then though the bulck head via BitsPower pass throughs

Pedestal set up, i plan to move the Blu Ray drive into the pedestal when i get round to it and then have the Aquero 5 up top in the main case.

Email from AquaComputer today saying my order will be Shipped tomorrow so happy days ! Looks like i should have this all finished up by the end of next week hopefully.

So rather large update coming in the next week or so once the Aqua order and MDPC arrive

Well some good news for this weekend anyway it seems like both my packages from Germany have arrived ive picked up the one from Nils but have to wait till tomorrow for the other

Right a bit of an annoying update eventually found the time to get the Watercooling run today and started to fill up the loops but sadly it turned out that one of my Koolance pumps is DOA so i now have to wait god knows how long before i can get my hands on a fresh hopefully fully working one

The one up side my GPU loop is bleed and leak free but only running distilled water through it to clean it out, so instead of having a lovely water cooled rig to play with for Christmas i now have a 3ft high coffee table !

Apologies for the real lack of updates over the festive period but you all know what its like ! sadly nothing will be happening in here for around 6 months as im off out the country ill update this once im back and started again cheers

temps are perfect and shes silent while doing it ! will get up some pics later today or tomorrow i haven't got around to sleeving anything yet that'll have to wait till i get some proper free time but at least its now up running and usable !

I need yo re do the tubing on the Graphics as its slightly short after some adjustments but that can wait apart from that im done for now need to full program the Aquero 5 and order up a couple of bits from Case Labs
