So if you followed my "Green Envy" Build you'll know it's still under construction and i decided to also put my backup rig on water while i'm at this. Thus i can use my backup rig while Green Envy is under construction, as well as get a loop under my belt before jumping to this monstrous rig i plan to assemble that is "Green Envy". It's going to take some serious time to assemble everything, learning to bend acrylic, and mod a case is going to be an experience as well.

So this build is much easier. In that it's just a single CPU/GPU with a case that requires no modding what so ever.

Just ordered the last of the components so everything will be here by mid week. Now when i can get home to actually assemble all this is another story. I start studying again on the seventh and am in the process of switching jobs. Hopefully i can find some days. I think it will take 3-5 to clean rads, blocks, assemble, and then leak test.

Components
I still have to clean my rads with a good distilled shake, clean the oxidation off my GPU block, and polish up the acrylic on the GPU block before i can even get started building. That said i'm looking forward to getting a rig under my belt. And i think it's going to turn out great. Bit of an expensive upgrade for a backup rig, but...yolo right? The case and PSU were needed WC components were about 400$ total so not too bad. Could've done cheaper i imagine. Can't wait to get started. I'll post pics as soon as i can. I guess i could've been more creative on the naming scheme but meh lol.

Just realized i made a mistake on the amount of fittings to get. I had, the number of fittings saved in my cart for some time, but it must've been before i incorporated the 240xt into the loop. I'm short 2 compression fittings lol. I emailed PPC about it, hopefully they can somehow add it to the order.

But yeah i'm excited about this build. I also am eager to be able to reliably cool my 8320 and 7970. Also will be shooting for 1200/1700 on the 7970. I've benched at that on air but it should be fairly easy to hit on water with good temps.

Well just got home and was taking the GPU block apart and the screws were in there so tight that upon loosening three of them it cracked the acrylic  :/ so seeing if i can find a replacement for the acrylic face, this is certainly going to set things back but i can still clean the block and setup the rest of the PC.

Well Ek has replacement acrylic tops for the block so I'll be ordering one within the week. Don't know when I'll be back home to assemble it. I did however get the block cleaned with lemon juice and it turned out nice and shiny.

Alrighty so i'm back home got the block back together. My attempt at polishing the bridge isn't going that great, must have the wrong sandpaper or i'm just not doing it long enough. Anyhow put the new piece of acrylic on got it reassembled, which BTW took almost 3 hours lol. Damn O-rings are a real pain, but it's done. Though i tried to put equal tension everywhere on the block i'm not sure that i did that great of a job. Retried several times. Though i can see a tiny tiny gap of space where the acrylic meets the copper, i guess that's why the O-ring is there but hopefully it doesn't affect anything. Also the silver plate that sits on the two O-rings on top of the acrylic where the water bridges to the other piece of copper isn't sitting flush for some reason.

Right now soaking the rads with hot distilled water for 30 min then going to shake them. I might get the rads and PSU in the case before the night is over. Then i have to head to starkville tomorrow and orientation all week so idk when i'll be home again.

Got a couple days off got back home. Thought i would have the entire build ready to go minus tubing. Didn't get near that far after 6 hours of work. Took the 7970 apart and realized i didn't have enough thermal padding to cover the VRMs...it's always something. Also will have to drill for the 120 on the bottom. Had to take the supremacy apart too to put the AMD mounting bracket on it...it looks alright but i dislike taking blocks apart lol, i'll have to get used to it i suppose. Being a perfectionist and driving screws to the same torque/tightness just doesn't coincide. Here's what i got so far. Going to order some more thermal pads tonight as well as a mounting bracket for the pump. Here's what i got so far, will get back at it tomorrow.

Freaking love this case. Got some more done today. Waiting on thermal pads to put the GPU block on and start leak testing. Will have to order the phanteks pump mount or drill some holes to keep the pump back there.

First of all, subbed! Second, after seeing the pic of that case all wide open I am falling deeply in love with it too... Keep up the great work, man!! I'lll be following.

The case is epic. I mean for 99$ it's impossible to beat. The Luxe is basically it's all metal brother for 150$. It is just well thought out, the fact that you can pretty much take the entire chassis apart with screws instead of rivets is brilliant.

I'm running into routing problems as of now, heat sinks getting in the way certain angles not necessarily lining up..etc. Though i might just end up bending some tubing. Was trying to go with a lot of straight runs.

Well had to reconfigure. And am going to need more angle fittings. This is one reason that i like acrylic yes harder than regular tubing but there isn't much bending can't accomplish and that bending doesn't put strain on the parts.

Some dimensions i didn't account for but i'm basically just not going to have as many straight runs as i wanted. We're going to have some waves lol.
Pics of the changes made.

Making modifications to the drain valve as well. Putting together more angle fittings to order.

Well i just brought home my 780 classy i got from dragon sine i'm waiting on thermal pads for the 7970 yet again. Figured i'll keep it in there. Got it tubed up started leak testing then realized that i had the pump inlet and outlet backwards. So that required disassembly. Then got it back together sort of in a hurry. Hell i've not been taking my time which i know i should be but haven't slept in 26 hours and just want to get it going.

Got it running and had leaks in three different places i've sorted two of them out. The Bitspower mounting clamps suck dick as the reservoir slides down in it, less i'm just not strong enough to clamp it to the level it needs to be at. The reservoir was putting pressure on the fittings leading to the pump and some of the fittings were leaking. That and the bottom lid of the reservoir seemed to be leaking, due to the same because the mounts aren't holding the damn thing.

The top fitting going from the CPU block back to the reservoir is leaking, which i'm going to check the tubing on it to be 100% sure it's the fitting and not my tubing job.

Overall i would say it's a little bit of a rough start but a learning experience. Tubing was more curvy than i had wished.

I put a rubberband around the res and used it as a rubber insert to stop it from sliding. Changed the fitting out this morning too no leaks so far going to keep watching it. I cut some of the tubing that was going from the CPU to res. The Tubing was too long putting stress on the fitting... my fault. Got some bubbles in the loop but that's expected. I'll bleed it properly once i've gone 24 hours without leaks, i guess. The splatter is probably from the way i filled it.

Though i've felt somewhat pushed because i have all this WC stuff and am wanting to get back into shooting competition i must say i love the way it looks. I might go regular tubing on my main rig come December or january. Splitting up the 780s and putting one in my backup keeps me from having to mod my 800D so heavily also.

Was up 30hrs from 3pm friday till 9pm yesterday. Wore myself out working on that thing, but it seems to be going lol. A little nervous about shaking it to bleed it if it does pass leak testing.

Right when i cut it off this morning i had a leak on one of the stop caps at the bottom of the res. Tightened it and while wiring it up kept the looping going with the other psu turning it on and off for a couple of hours. No leaks, it wouldn't harm anything if it does leak since it will hit the pump top but going to watch it closely all night and probably jump the PSU off again and run it all night.

I don't think i realized that i would want an cathode. Lol With the tinted window of the Enthoo you can't see crap. I just have the side panel off at the moment.
