UPDATED!!!! *scroll down in post #1*

Hi All
biggrin.gif

I'm embarking on a new build. I most play games and do a little bit of benchmarking. This is my first watercooled build so I'm pretty excited to build it. I've ordered most of the parts already except the water parts, but I'll probably do it next week.

This is the components thats going into my build:

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus V Formula
CPU: Intel i7 3770K
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB
RAM: G.Skill Trident X 32GB 2400MHz (4x8GB) 1.65V
Power Supply: Seasonic X-1250 (1250W)
Case: NZXT Switch 810 Matte Black
GPU: x2 EVGA GTX 680 4GB w/backplate (running in SLI)
Blu-ray Drive: LG BH14NS40 14x

OS: Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 (High Density Silver Thermal Compound)

Watercooled Components:
CPU Block: EK Supremacy Universal - Nickel
GPU Block (1): EK GeForce 680 GTX+ - Nickel
GPU Block (2): EK GeForce 680 GTX+ - Nickel
GPU SLI Bridge: EK FC Bridge Dual Parallel 3 Slot CSQ Plexi
Radiator (1): Alphacool XT45 360mm
Radiator (2): Alphacool UT60 240mm
Radiator (3): Alphacool XT45 140mm
Pump: Switech MCP655-B
Pump Top: Bitspower Mod Top V2 Acrylic
Pump Mod Kit: Bitspower Pump Mod Kit - Black Sparkle
Upgrade Kit: Bitspower Single D5 Top Upgrade 250mL Clear
Fittings: still deciding, but will list once I'm done
Tubing: Primochill Advanced LRT Tubing 1/2ID 3/4OD Clear
Coolant: Mayhems X1 Coolant Concentrate 250mL Blood Red

Fans:
x4 140mm x 25mm Noiseblocker PK-2
x5 120mm x 25mm Noiseblocker PL-2
UN Designs Z2 Pump Bracket 120mm Fan Mount

Case Lighting:
Red LED's or Cathodes

Components I already own:
Monitor: Samsung XL2370 - later on I will be selling this, and maybe get a 3 monitor setup.
Mouse: Razer Imperator (Battlefield 3 Edition)
Keyboard: Razer Tarantula Tournament Edition
Headphones: Razer Carcharias
Mouse Pad: Razer Goliathus Extended Control Edition

I will not be doing any custom sleeving as I'm lazy and I don't have the time. So I'll be using BitFenix Alchemy Extension cables in Red.

As I work full time and I'm also a uni student, I'll try and update this thread with pictures and my progress on a regular basis.

Thanks for looking at my build log

FINAL PICTURES!!!!

UPDATE!!!! as of 09/02/2014

Replacing all of the Noiseblocker PK-2's with BitFenix Spectre Pro 140mm Black Tinted White LED's (only using 3 though - all case fans - 2 front - 1 back)
Getting rid of the 140mm alphacool radiator in the rear of the case.
Only keeping the 360mm and 240mm radiator but will be doing push and pull on both. New fans I'll be using are the Cougar CF-D12HB-W 120mm White LED fans. (an extra 5 fans) still keeping my Noiseblocker PL-2's.
Getting of the red LED strips, and going for a white theme inside the case, but will still be using Mayhems X1 Blood Red Coolant.

UPDATE as of 11/02/2014

Decided to change my case from the Switch 810 to the upcoming Case Labs Mercury S8 which will be released in the next 2 weeks or so.

Stay Tuned for an update and Pics.

Thanks.

Looks awesome man,but the case is not one of my favourite...I would recomend to use white extensions, and maybe red pastel for tubing, that way you will have a nice color scheme too.
Good luck, and hope you enjoy working with those fine parts

You got a good case to do your first WC setup in.... I used that Pastel Red & it's great. I was thinking about adding a drop of two of blood red myself....

Hey guys did some test fits with the radiators last night and assembled the reservoir/pump configuration and fit the 120mm fans to the case and the 240mm rad.
Got heaps of pictures. But can't upload til tomorrow night cause there is some construction going on around the house and the area which was targeted was around my desk. But nonetheless will update asap.

Thanks

hey is their ample space to get a 420 mm(140x3) rad up top or would some modding be required to get it theier cause on nzxt site it says it can fit 3 140 mm fans their so why not a 420 mm rad

It says you can fit 3 140mm fans at the top of the case, but i dont think you can fit an 420mm rad. Reason being i dont think there will be room for the fittings, cause that usually adds around 40mm to the radiator. I was going to going with that option but i glad i didnt cause the 360mm radiator is a perfect fit.

I haven't ran them yet. But the stock clocks are 1019MHz core, 6008MHz memory. When I install them i will show my results on stock gpu's and cpu. Then results for my overclock in Heaven 4.0, 3D Mark 11 (720p and 1080p), and Firestrike... and maybe some game benchmarks.
