Hi, this will be my first time building a computer and I was wondering if you guys could help me find compatible parts that are cheap.

Things I am looking for are as follows:
  • i7-975 Extreme Edition Processor
  • 12 GB of RAM
  • A good motherboard
  • And any other parts I will need. (I don't know what else I'll need - I'm really noob when it comes to thist stuff)
Thanks in advance,

I believe his budget is $2,000 and that includes the monitor. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

As said in the other thread. You do not want the i7 975 or 12GB of ram. This is a gaming computer? I don't think your understand that the processor is a very small part of gaming. The GPU is far more important.
I wouldn't spend a bunch of money on an extreme cpu.You could get a i7 920 or i7 860 and overclock them. Also what are you going to do with your pc so we will know what you really need.Tell us more about what you want to do and why you would want 12Gb of memory.

Yeah, my budget is $2,000 and also, why isn't the i7 975 and 12GB of RAM important? What exactly is a GPU?

I'll be wanting to play online games with no lag what-so-ever, surf the web at amazing speeds, and also download things at very high speeds while also playing multiple games.

No, I mean online games like WoW, FlyFF, CS, CSS, Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: World at War. Things like that.

As we were telling you on the other post:

Gigabyte or EVGA mother board.
1000W PSU, Corsair preferibily.
6GB of RAM, Patriot or G.Skill I'd recommend.
Intel Core i7 920 (Useless otherwise)
A MegaHalem processor heatsink
Um... a Radeon 5870.

Ok, then you'll need a decent GPU (i.e. Graphics Card).

I wouldn't suggest downloading things while playing games online though.

Half your budget.

Still need:
1) Sound Card (Optional, Recommended)
2) GPU (Recommend 5870)
3) Monitor
4) CPU Cooling
5) OS?

EDIT: Fixed Error.
Would you guys mind getting me links and a guide on how to build/put all the parts together to even make a computer lol?

Playing games online lag-free all depends on your GPU and your ISP, I also don't think you'll be playing all those games at the same time.

When you recieve the parts we'll have no problem to guide you at all. It's hard to remember but easy to see while you're mounting.

I'd want a decent sound card and some decent speakers to go along with it and maybe a 20" monitor with... I dunno, what do you guys suggest; liquid cooling or air cooling?

Dual Graphics cards (the 5870's that you guys are talking about would be the ones I want).

As an OS I'd want Windows 7 <ultimate, premium, professional> 64 bit.

What version of Windows 7 would you guys suggest? Ultimate, Premium, or Professional?
