Ok so with imminent arrival of my new gaming rig (monday or tuesday) i have a bunch of new games to play, though it would be fun to ask you all what you think i should play first!

This is the order i am thinking now:

Dragon Age: Origins (Baldur's gate 2 is my favorite game of all time)
Team Fortress 2 (really eager to try this, hoping i get into it like i did with tribes)
Crysis Warhead (big fan of the original)
Dawn of War 2 (loved the original, love 40k in general)
Sins of a Solar Empire
Portal
Half-Life 2 (loved the original)
Secret of monkey Island; Special Edition (loved this game when i first played it)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Mirror's Edge (kinda want to wait till i get a Phyx card to play it)

I would start with Crysis Warhead and Sins of a Solar Empire, then move on to Dragon Age: Origins.

they all look like good games, so if MP is your thing then tf2 asap
hop on the OCN server for some fun with fellow ocn members
If rpg's are your thing, then DA:O. Dragon age is supposed to be one of the best new rpg's out. The rest can follow after that IMO.

Why wait until you have a phys-x card to play Mirror's Edge? The only thing you'll miss out on is a little better performance when you bust through the plastic drapes, and there's only 1 time you get to do that. I didn't really notice anything else that needed phys-x.
They're all pretty solid games. Obviously throw on Crysis and crank up the settings for fun. Play Sins and the other single player games. When you feel like you need some interaction, hop on TF2. Some people don't like TF2 but search the forum for TF2 tips and spend a little time and the game will be extremely rewarding. It's like 9 games in one (each class must be played differently).
I would play them all at the same time, don't be a wuss fyi.

Or crysis warhead then DA:O

( or monkey island ) which i'm wanting to play.

Yeah i might not "play" crysis first but i will probably run it a few minutes just to see how my new rig handles it hehe

Crysis and TF2 first, and then when you get bored of those, time for DA:O.

Knights of the Old Republic. Play through it once (light or darkside), then play through it again towards the end of your list, and take the alternate path.

Half-Life 2. Greatest FPS of all time. Of all TIME.
Just warning you ahead of time.

If you start playing TF2 you can kiss getting a chance to play those other games good bye! Seriously though, you've got way more than you can handle in a year there unless you play a whole lot.

I'll put them in order for me though:

Half Life 2 (insane classic)
Portal (can be played bit by bit in between others)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (play before Dragon Age)
Crysis Warhead (entertaining I suppose)
Mirror's Edge (should be fun and actionpacked)
Dragon Age: Origins (freaking excellent game)
Team Fortress 2 (so begins the lack of freetime)
Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (Huge fan of this series but it takes a while to play)

Haven't played these:
Dawn of War 2
Sins of a Solar Empire

Crysis Warhead. Games like Dragon Ages: Origins will take you forever to beat, and then you will be an old man by the time you get around to the other games.
Go with Half-Life 2. It's an excellent game, excellent story.
Any W40K junkie would know the answer to this one!!!!!

DAWN OF WAR 2!!!!!

I have it so if you wanna play co-op LMK it's really fun to play Co-Op in that game.
Of those choices, your first game should be HL2. I'd download the FakeFactory cinematic mod before you play it ... brings the graphics way more up-to-date in a lot of ways (but not in every way).

Honestly, I can't believe there's a PC gamer alive who hasn't played that game, along with the two subsequent episodes.

At this point, HL2 is 5 years old ... that's like 20 in 'computer gaming' years. It won't be much longer before it turns into one of those amazing older games that you just won't want to play because it looks so much less awesome than newer games ... IOW in not too long here it will pass into the realm of 'great games that are awful looking by today's standards' like Deus Ex, System Shock 2, and Baldurs Gate ... and you'll end up missing out on an amazing gameplay experience.

And since it looks like you have the Orange Box, you should plan on playing the Episodes as well ... because they also rock ... Especially Episode 2 ... I suppose those could wait though.

It doesn't hurt that it's also the best game on your list, IMHO. Not that any of those are bad games, they are all pretty good (though I'm having a hard time getting into DA:O and RTS games like Sins and DoW aren't really my cup of tea), but ... HL2 is just stone-cold classic.

Hmmm... I should warn you, i voted you start with Dragon Age Origins but to tell you honestly, once you play it you'll never play anything else for at least a month or two
the game is so great, so awesome, you won't even want to play anything else!
