I'm looking to buy a new LCD soon.

It has to be at or over 21" WS
It has to have or be less than a 6ms response time.

I don't need any flashy features such as TV tuners or screens that can move sideways.

What's the best deal?

Thanks.

Well there are many complaints about the Samsung having a backlight bleeding problem. They also complain it is a TN LCD, the cheapest form of LCD. The Acer, on teh otherhand, has almost no problems.
Hm..

I have a Samsung 205BW. I think the clarity and the backlight is just fine. I had a ViewSonic VX2025WM. I hated it. Luckily NewEgg let me send it back for a refund... no restocking fee, and they paid return shipping... (I digress). The ViewSonic had major backlight issues and a trio of dead pixels speckeled about.

In the Acers that I have seen, the lighting and clarity have been good, I just know that I like what I have.

Thank you, your information is valuable.

I don't see why you cannot get a refund for an item with defects though..

It was not listed under their "Dead Pixel Policy" and I was worried that the Backlight issue would be called a property of the monitor. Plus, I was never expecting the return shipping to be covered.

I have the non-gamer edition and it's great. The gamer edition has a faster response time + glossy screen.
I think the Acer 22" wins over that though. Thanks anyway. Remember, I can go up to $500 guys.

Remember they are the same resolution so you're just streching the same picture over a bigger space. Seems like a lot of money just for that small difference to me. But maybe if you need to work at a distance or want to watch movies on it then it would be a better choice for you.

I wish I had gone bigger with the same resolution (1680x1050). My eyes are not the best.... and I usually can't find my glasses.... as a matter of fact, where are my glasses?
