Alright here are my specs:
DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert Socket 939 NVIDIA nforce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHZ FSB Socket 939 Processor

2x Kingston ValueRam 512 MB 184 Pin DDR SDRAM 400 PC 3200 (Already have it so that can't change)

eVGA 256-P2-N515-AX Geforce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Desktop PC

XION Black XION II Xon-103 SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450W power supply

Hitachi Deskstar 7k80 80 GB 7200 RPM Sata 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Basically I'm wondering if there are better or cheaper parts I should be buying and if all my parts are compatible. I want this computer to be very upgradable which is why i'm getting the SLI motherboard and whatnot. The computer is used only for gaming which is why the HD is so small. If there is a better part for around the same money I'd like to know. Will the processor bottleneck the video card? Thanks for the help.

If this is the wrong place to post this let me know.

Also, how does the ATI X850XT compare to the 7800GT? It's 65 dollars cheaper and I prefer ATI

Anyhow, that memory you chose REALLY SUCKS. REALLY BAD.

Get this:

Way better, its a must. Espeically if you are getting a $300+ gfx card.

Good luck.

I know about the memory problem, I also heard corsair doesn't work to great with DFI motherboards. i was going to get some gskill.

Get some G.SKILL Extreme Series (2x 512mb) PC4800 DDR 600 (cost you a bit though)

But if you were looking to get a x850, I'd suggest trying to get a Sapphire x800 GTO2. It uses the same core (r480) as the x850 so you can just flash the bios to unlock all 16 (comes stock with 12) and you can usually OC it with the stock fan to x850 XT PE speeds.

I don't see a power supply? I hope you weren't planning on using the one that comes with that case.

I was thinking about doing that but people seem to think the 6800gs is still better than the x850xt pe

Well i'm talking about the 6800gs, I'm not surprised the 7800gt destroyed it.
