Whenever I quit BVE 4 I get an BSOD with the message "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA"

What does this mean? I have 3000MB-4500MB allocated for Windows paging. All other games seem to be fine. Any ideas?

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next next service pack that contains this hotfix.
Says Windows Server 2003 though. Worth a try.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA is a common BSOD and it could be many things =/

That's usually when your computer (most likely memory) is unstable or something is messed up in your drivers

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Hopefully it works for you. XP and Server 2003 are kind of the same thing...hah.

If that doesn't help, i'm not sure what to tell you.

I've seen that error caused by drivers, hard drives, ram, processors, and even a IDE card. If it only happens when you exit that game it sounds like a driver/corrupt file to me.

Thanks folks. It sounds wierd but if I use nvidia driver 71.89 it DOESNT happen

I would go back, however if I use before 150.xx I dont get the widescreen scaling with my monitor. Ho-hum. Maybe getting it to run in VMWare is an alternative

Thanks anyway, I'll see what friendly and helpful Microsoft have to say

OpenBVE is improved and much more stable compared to BVE4 and it runs on Windows XP\7\8\Linux\Mac
For more info on installing and using openBVE see
