Ok So My dad just bought 2 Western Digital Raptors for 129.99 each. cheapmang, Ok the specifications are

74 Gigabytes
10k RPM
and 8mb Cache

I understand the first 2 but what does cache do exactly? Would it be that much different from the 16mb drives we coulda bought for 180$ each?
