Call of Duty world at War install problems

I have a COD disk I borrowed from my friend, since mine wont work. But it seems to hang too. I tried dl'ing some isos and they hang at random points while for my friends its working fine. What do I do?
What is going on? And why do all installations hang the exact same spot?

Ali, try lowering your overclock back to stock clocks, and then try to install again..

Otherwise, I'm not sure what is going on.

The computer doesn't freeze, but the installation just sits there... I tried it 7 times and even left it for an hour, but it was still at the same spot it got stuck on

So, when you dl an iso, it works?

edit: it wasn't hanging at 99% was it ... what percentage does it hang at?

try in safe mode, but if it still doesn't work, it sounds like activision's fault.

Ok, I lowered my OC to 3.4 and am now in safe mode w/networking. I'm going to try for the 8th time now. I'll report back in a couple mins

Take game back where you bought it and tell them it's a bad disc. Also your overclock may not be fully stable and you might want to watch about mentioning downloading iso's of the game because that is illegal and OCN dosen't support pirating.

1. It doesn't work across multiple disks, 2. It's not pirating if he has the rights, he only has 1 key anyway, and 3. it shouldn't be a stability issue if his comp isn't freezing
