I am looking to slightly over clock my GTX 760, but my power source is the exact voltage the is recommend for my GPU. when i run Kombuster i max out at 79% of power usage and i don't know if just the GPU is using 79% or my whole PC. so long story short im wondering if i can safely overclock at all and if so what numbers should i look for in Kombuster to see that my overclock is safe? Any thing helps! Thanks!

My specs are
500Watt psu
Nvidia GTX 760
intel I5 3.2 ghz
8 gigs of ram

More specs about psu please. More than likely, the answer is a resounding no. It's probably more like a 350 watt psu with inflated specs.

What 500w PSU is it? Quality is going to matter moreso than wattage, considering your system could probably get by with a 250-300w PSU just fine if it were quality.

i cannot find the specific brand all i can find is 500 watt i do not have the power limit maxed tho

As they stated in that thread, its bottom of the barrel of non crap units. So yes, you can overclock just fine. It's just not something that would normally get recommended for you to buy. You can overclock your CPU and GPU just fine with that unit without worry.

As said, it will probably do alright for a while, but if you look to upgrade to bigger and better parts you might want to replace that first.
