I have found that I am not able to run dx 11 apps including heaven,
I can run it in 10.1 no probs.

Then I checked DX diag which said DX 11 (nothing new in win7) but then I checked the DISPLAY tab and it said DDI 10.1.
So I checked this out on the web and I found out that Microsoft hasn't fully opened DX 11.

I was just wondering what other peoples DX Diag said and to see if this is a wide spread problem, and if you fixed it and opened it to full DX11, how did you do it.
I am a bit pissed because I can't run heaven in DX 11 mode.

My one says the same. Found out It is a bug with DirectX Diagnostics Tool (Dxdiag.exe).

Microsoft has release a hotfix for Windows 7 and WindowsServer 2008 R2

Quote:

When you run the DirectX Diagnostics Tool (Dxdiag.exe) on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, the diagnostic tool incorrectly reports a DirectX 11 device as a DirectX 10.1 device. This incorrect version information is shown in the DDI field on the Display tab. This problem is only a reporting error. This problem does not affect the DirectX 11 hardware or software functionality of the graphics card.
