Well right now i currently have a 500GB HDD with my windows xp on it and a 160GB internal HDD. I am wondering if I can buy another internal HDD and boot linux off of that. Is that possible? Thanks alot!

Yea.
ya. i did that for a while. its not to hard
yeah. you can. you could also partition one of your drives...

i suggest you install it to a separate partition / drive, and have windows installed BEFORE you install linux, to avoid having bootloader issues.
How about this. Can i partition my 160 Storage HDD so that it is 80/80 and put linux on one 80?
Yes you could do it that way. Make the system partition first and then make the storage partition once you have the OS loaded.

Do you already have files on this storage drive you wish to keep? If not, then just use the whole 160GB for Linux.
