im a linux noob, ive tried a bunch of distros, but cant find the one for me
. i want a distro that runs on an old laptop, 233mhz,32mb of ram etc etc.
basically a relatively lightweight one, but is easy to connect to a USB network adapter (linksys WUSB54G)

anyone have a suggestoin?

Ubuntu - its easy to install - takes about 20 minutes. I had it on a partition of 10gig (including swap space) and i didnt use anywhere near that.

yes i have ubuntu on another pc, p3 256mb of ram, it wouldnt survive on this laptop, thanks everyone

Damn Small Linux has been goood to me, just having trouble installing my WPC54G

well You'll have to google it...because I really don't know what to do with damn small linux lol, I didn't use it much, I just know its designed for this purpose.

dsl is designed to be a live distro. not a standalone. Use slackware or maybe a form of BSD. They usually will run barebones.
