i just re-installed windows and i lost most of the software that came stock with my pc. a lot of the ms works files are still on the hard drive but when i go to open it it says i need to re-intsall it, but my computer didnt come with the CDs. is there anyway i can get it back running?

I've had that happen to me before... You need to reinstall it. If your computer came with the software bundle then CD's should have been provided along with the windows CD and all that crap.

Maybe you can get a "backup copy" somewhere.

No those dueche bags at Radio Shack didnt give me jack *****, i didnt even get the Windows XP CD.

hahaha i found the works CD in my desk drawer. maybe i should look a little harder next time, oh well that doesnt change the fact that they didnt give me my XP CD

Haha, great to hear that, if you didnt buy the computer too long ago maybe you can go and ask for the CD.

All those retail store are always screwing people.

most of those preloaded pcs dont... they come with a modified windows installation that is usually tied to that pc only and is designed to install windows with all the crap they put on it at the factory... emachines does it... dell does it... etc
