I have been looking to buy a mac because they look good. But I don't like osx, so can i install windows 8 on it?

And by installing windows I dont mean using virtual machines.

As I understand it boot camp is like WUBI for windows. Its just an installer so there should not be any performance loos. That said I'm sure you know that Macs tend to have weaker hardware then similar priced windows machines so you will be paying an hefty premium just for the sleek looks.

A Mac is just a regular x86 computer that runs OS X. It would be like running Windows on any other computer.

May I ask what the point is? I would just buy a well designed laptop for less money and good specs. If you are not going to use OSX, I again ask, what is the point?

Because I like how macbook looks and I still want the functionality of Windows.

Ok. That is fine. I see people do that and I scratch my head because you should still keep OSX on the computer so you loose disk space. Use bootcamp and you will be fine.
