Ok, so i've got the 7850 BE and i am running at 3,2GHZ (207 x 15.5)..

Here's my temps with Everest:

Idle :
CPU Temp : 50'c
Core 1 : 30'c
Core 2 : 30'c

Under load (Prime95):
CPU Temp : 67'c
Core 1 : 50'c
Core 2 : 50'c

I want to try and push this card to 3.3 maybe 3.4 but with only stock HSF and 2 case fans (stock - guessing low RPM?) I'm worried about temperatures.. Do i measure from the core temps or the CPU temp?

It says here : http://products.amd.com/pages/Deskto...il.aspx?id=535

That my CPU handles up to 73'c but my friend says that's the heat when the CPU dies. Does raising clock speeds without raising the voltage cause a change in temps?

Thanks in advance!

Dangerously high?
I'm not buyin a new cooler, will get one when i purchase my 965.

Anyway, i don't care about lifespan aslong as it don't frie, what u think the temps will be fine at? I was wondering if just raising the clock to 3.3ghz without touching the volts would affect the temp or not? With some luck it could be stable, i haven't tested.

well you're like very very close to the danger zone already. max temp for that is 73c

we usually keep at least 10c below that.

you can buy the cooler now, then wait for the 965be.
