Can I unlock this card?

Getting an AGP 6800 GS today, http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...5110&CatId=318, but I was wondering if I can unlock the extra pipes if it has any. I read this forum http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/5665...pipes+6800+agp and it seems relatively simple but I was just wondering if this card is unlockable.

Yes I've heard the AGP version can be unlocked to a GT with 16 rendering pipelines (16x1,6vp) instead of 12.
Use RivaTuner to do this but check for possible artifacts if the pipelines are damaged.
Check out this webpage on how to do it.

I checked the benchmarks, and the GS outperforms the GT in some or almost all benchmarks (as is stock). Wow, good deal thats how much I bought my 6800 OC for, I should have waited.

no it doesnt..... a stock 6800gt will eat a 6800gs agp it just cant compete.. now a PCI-E 6800gs comes close (since the pcie version goes 430-490 stock on the core) but still stock for stock the 6800gt wins

Yeah, the AGP 6800GS has slightly lower clocks and less pipelines than the 6800GT, no way it can compete. It can be unlocked and OCed to Ultra levels, but stock vs stock the GT smokes it.
yea the agp version is but people told me that its impossibe to unlock a pci express version because its two different cores but u should be fine and unlock all 16 pipes
