You should be able to...you might need an adapter of some sort though. Maybe post a pic/link of the actual drive?

I'm currently using a 120GB Fujitsu SATA laptop drive in my computer.

$1 or $1.50 adpater on ebay

44 pin cable to 40pin IDE+4 pin power. the 4 extra pins are mostt liekly jumpers internally for the laptop. disregard them

I bought one recently to use a 320gig lappy drive in my desktop for my tv shows. PM me if you want me to respond when I receive it, its in delivery as we speak

yes you can use it on a desktop but you need an adapter because it is a smaller version of IDE i think its called PATA
