I have a intel p4 3.0 ghz processor, a dell dimension 8300. I will probably uprgade my proccessor next year. Could my system hold and give this card almost it's full potential on games like hl2 and css? Or should i go with the 6800gt?

If your computer has an AGP slot (which it most likely does) then yes, you can use a 6800Ultra.

i would hold and get something like a ....6800...GT might overheat in that little dell.

ok thx, i hate dell too but my mom wudnt let me build my pc, lol. thx for the advice, i will go w/ the 6800 gt
