I asked this question about 2 weeks ago and no one seemed to know what they are talking about.

My question is would a p55-ud3r motherboard criple the performance of a 4890 in crossfire? I'm aware that the 2nd pci express slot uses a 4x lan but I was wondering if it has an effect on a 4890 rather than a card like the gtx 295 or something.

No it won't affect it dramatically, with a P55 motherboard, while using Triple CrossFireX the PCI-e bandwidth will be split to 8x/8x/4x.
Running one card on a 4x? Yes, but not to much.

My board doesn't support triple crossfire. Does anyone know of a site where it compares crossfire performance with a p55 motherboard compared to an x58 or something?

In that site was it using an 8x/8x or a 16x/4x (which is what I have)?

The comparison will be more like X48 vs. P35.
