Can this be bad ram?

No matter which slot/channel combination I use, I cannot get 2 sticks of ram to pass Memtest86. If I run either stick by itself I can pass Memtest86 no matter which slot I use. I have my ram running at the manufacturers suggested speed and voltages.

Is it still possible that I have bad ram? I suspect it's my motherboard causing the issues. I'd rather replace my ram as it's much cheaper. What say you?

Try flashing the CMOS and be sure to have the latest bios. I do believe early bios revisions didn't support 1000mhz right off (friend also has a 780i and that was the prob, although he had kingston hyperx at the time).
I updated my bios to the latest revision and cleared CMOS and nothing changed. I'm getting 353 million + errors on slot 1 and 250 + errors on slot 2 according to Memtest86. Errors first started on test 7 but 99% of the errors occur on test 8. I let it run over night and I don't believe it finished a single pass.

Again, I can flip flop my sticks and I get the same results. If I use a single stick it will pass Memtest. My pc will not boot if I overclock my fsb by even 100mhz so right now I'm running 100% stock.

if by same results you mean each slot keeps getting the same amount of errors i would say your boards ram slots are messed up.

Like I said before, when I'm running my tests everything is 100% stock, manufacturers clocks and voltages.

Yes, no matter which sticks I put in slots 0 and 2 (the correct color coded slots for dual channel) the slots get the same number of errors if I use 2 sticks. If I use only one stick it will not error at all in Memtest not matter which single slot I use but it wont accept any overclock of the fsb beyond maybe 10-20mhz.
I would say it's the board also. Do you have another (cheap-ish) set to test?
The mobo may be fried... To compensate, try upping the NB voltage and/or the RAM voltage. If it's a mobo issue, some may say upping the NB voltage would only quicken its death, but at least it'll work fine until you get another one.

My 2 cents... hope I'm wrong and it's only the RAM causing trouble.
Yeah, I do have another pair of sticks I can test with. For some reason I never thought to test with my old ram that's currently in my gf's computer. I'll test with those and report back.

Everything was running perfectly fine and super stable about a month to a month and a half ago. Then something became corrupt in Windows and nothing has been the same since.
Something is definitely wrong. Now it wont recognize my hard drive whether I use my older set of ram or current ram. When I put the old in in it gave me the long beep upon start up. I'll put my current set of ram in my gf's pc tonight and run Memtest, that should tell me if it's the ram or the board. I'm almost positive it's going to be the board but I want to exhaust everything I can do with the ram first. Right now my pc is sitting there with the cmos battery out of it until I get home. When I get home I'll give it one more go.

Yeah, motherboard is shot. My other ram tested fine in my gf's pc. It still can't recognize my hard drive no matter what I do. I just ordered a UD3P and it should be here Monday. I'm giving up on SLI for now which stinks because I have 3 8800GTX's.
rma your mobo it sounds like a bad mobo i had the same issue sadly i went with xfx and never agin will i make that mistake
RMA'ing my board will be a pain as I got it from a fellow OCN'er. I need a working pc and can't go that long without one. I'll find a use for the cards. Who knows maybe I'll start up 2 dedicated gpu folding rigs this summer instead of 1.
