well i would aviod it for the main reason it is extremely posinous and the vapor can cause you to go mental; so if you want to go for it, or just get gray tubing!

What he said... But yeah, it'd be neat to see a liquid metal circulate through a system.

Wasn't that Asetek? I think I read a review on Frostytech.

The worst problem would be the density. You would need a pump at least 14 times more powerful to pump it around your loop, mercury being 14 times as dense as water. Well, that's my reasoning anyway.

just wondering because it would look cool lol.

could you do it? yes, should you do it? NO!

Its just not worth dying for =]

You'd need alot of mercury, and there would be an issue with the expansion/contraction you'd have to deal with (when it heats up it would increase volume by alot). Then there's dealing with what to do if it leaks or when you have to do maintenance. And of course the fact that it's toxic.

If you didnt mind dying from exposure and getting a water pump off a car to circulate it cause its so thick, then yea.

Why do people even ask this question:
1: Theoretically yes you can.
2: You have a damn death wish if you choose to do so
3: When the EPA shows up at your house to remove your mercury contaminated butt, don't say that I didn't tell you "I told you so"

The heat from the computer will cause fumes. The mercury in contact with the air will cause fumes. The fumes are then inhaled and are ingested by your body. Mercury starts destroying nerological systems in the body and eventually makes you go crazy. You die in a hazy of insanity truly not even aware your sick.

Also, to even possess such amount of mercury you have to have a permit and such. You do so without one and I smell lawsuit.
