Can't adjust volts on x1950xt

529 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Tyrker
I upgrade to a powercolor x1950xt 512 from a x1800gto and now I no longer have voltage control in ATITool. I did driver cleaner and everything and reinstalled atitool with .26 and .27 but to no avail.

I'm now thinking of just editing the bios on my video card to adjust the volts. Just need a slight increase and I should be fine since I'm alread getting 661/801 on stock volts. However, I would much more like to use atitool or rivatuner (can't find out or figure out how to use that yet
) ,

It's just a different card, you'll probably have to volt mod it if you want to change the voltage for a 1950pro
i thought you were able to change volt with ati tool what version are you running, try 27

It's a x1950xt, not a pro.

I thought so too whith the x1950xt, I was able to on my x1800gto. I've tried both 26 and 27 version of ati tools also
. On the bright side, this card is wonders better then my x1800gto

ATi Tray tools allows me to adjust the volts on my XT 256, you may want to give it a shot.

Come again?

Edit: Crazy9000 thank you! ATI tray tools allows me to change the volts on the core, nothing else, but it's a start and that was my weak point
. Memory is already at 814 which I think is decent but core was limited to 648 , time to raise that
.
