Why cant i go higher on my P4 2.6 GHZ 800FSB, i get to 3.1GHZ and it doesnt start, the fans start working but no video, so i reset the bios. It works but why cant i go over 3.1GHZ, i tried raising the voltage from 1.525 to 1.6. im using an Abit IC7-G motherboard.

it may be that your ram is maxxed out, see what speed its running at, and what its rated at. also try raising the momory voltage, that should help

if you have the cash to get some good ram,
do this to find what ram you need...

Ok lower your FSB:RAM ratio to like 2:1
and start to push your computer untill you either cant boot or over heat...

then take that FSB number and thats what speed ram you need
