Can't install XP need help ASAP

When i try to install XP it hangs at the windows setup screen(with the blue background),it's sitting there as we speak,i ran the setup about 1/2 hour ago.
Everything is @ stock,did a full format on the drive befor attemting to install.
Oh and btw the HD is perfectly fine,vista installs but i want xp.

Did you wipe Vista off the drive, and did you try restarting the installation?
Also, which stage of the installation are you at?

I did a full format on the drive before attemting to install.
After the "press any key to start from the drive",i get the blue screen with "windows setup" on the top left corner(gray color),it hangs there.
It doesn't even start to load the drivers it always does.
