Ive had this problem for ages now. I couldn't figure it out, but now I'm trying to get past it. Everything is perfectly stable at Rated 1600, then as soon as i go 1601, it wont boot. Its not my cpu voltage, ram, or NB voltage. I know there are other settings like PLL and VTT, but i dunno what to do with em, or any others.

From memory, the memory controller on LGA 775 is in the NB. Not in the cpu like the i7's. So I would assume just a voltage bump to the NB. I also remember something about a NB strap, where it would change based on ram speed, and it could mess things up.
