Using a 6950.

To start, I do have four monitors working. Two monitors are on mini-displayport to dvi adapters. one is just on dvi. and here is where I start having the issue.

The fourth monitor (which is actually a TV) works with a dvi to hdmi cable.
BUT when I try to use just the hdmi port on the card it shuts off two monitors no matter what I do.

Not sure why this happens but what I want to do is get pc audio through the TV speakers, to no avail. A fix or alternative sugjestion would be much appreciated.

if you are just trying to get audio out to the tv speakers, the obvious workaround is to get a headphone jack to rca and run them into the input that corresponds with the hdmi but that will only work if your tv allows.

If you have a receiver or something this obviously becomes much simpler.

As for why it is not working, i can only speculate. If i remember correctly the dvi and hdmi outputs on a radeon share bandwidth somehow and that is why you need an adapters in the first place to run eyefinity. My guess is that somehow you have it fooled by using the dvi to hdmi adapter....of course that may be utter nonsense as well

I'll briefly look around and see if i can come up with a more detailed reason, but no promises

*Edit*

Also to help me help you troubleshoot, if you just have the hdmi and dvi plugged in, or even just the hdmi plugged in are you able to get sound?
