Can't use graphics card

Look at my sig for specs.

I'm still stuck with using a pci card for now (no money
), but since my mobo uses the 6100 chipset, when I try to download drivers it just applies them to the chipset instead of the graphics card. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

ya use regcleaner to remove the drivers in safe mode, then install the ones for your new card after you disable the onboard video
I can't turn off my onboard graphics, that's the problem
I used my pci card with the onboard when I still had my dell mobo, but I forgot how I did it. Again, drivers are applying to the 6100 chipset instead of the pci card.

disable onboard graphics in the motherboard bios.

What brand/model is your pci graphic card? nVidia, ATI, SIS, 3Dfx
?
