What are the differences between these two cards that would explain the price difference? The specs look identical to me.... What am I missing?

It looks like the more expensive one is factory overclocked. I would get the cheaper one and do it yourself in 5 minutes. ^_^

The Toxic edition (the more expensive one) has a better cooler on it. If you look at the pictures you can see that the toxic edition has copper heatpipes and the other one has chrome looking pipes. I would probably still get the cheaper one though.

This one is the Toxic Edition, meaning it's got a way better cooler so it's better for oc'ing in the end. Other than that the specs are the same.

If you want a review of that specific card, a really nice one can be found here

If thats the case, then I would go the toxic one. Better cooling on a graphics card will give way higher overclocks. ^_^

Wow I feel like an IDIOT.... I didn't realize the second one was a Toxic Edition lol. I assumed they always came with orb style coolers and I was going by specs listed in the comparison.
Anyway, thx for the replies guys.

I would wait a week or two to get these, ATI is going to lower the prices on the 4870 512mb by about $50 in a week or so.
